This high-performance closer features a standard arm and showcases an adjustable spring power, capable of accommodating anything from a light 5 lb. opening force up to a size 4. The CA8000 series is equipped with Dual Speed Control Valves, allowing for precise regulation of both closing and latching speeds, fully adjustable post-installation to ensure optimal operation. Additionally, it includes a fully adjustable Back-Check feature controlled by a distinct regulating valve, providing smooth and reliable performance that can be fine-tuned even after installation. This series complies with ANSI A156.4 Grade 1 specifications and guarantees Barrier-Free Operation in accordance with Federal Accessibility Standards and ANSI A117.1 (4,13,11). It is UL Listed, meets UL10C positive pressure requirements, and is certified to conform to UBC 7.2 (1997) and BS476 for fire safety. The CA8000 series is designed for universal application, being non-handed to facilitate Standard, Top Jamb, or Parallel Arm installation – with the parallel arm bracket included for convenience. The rack and pinion control mechanism is encased in a high tensile precision die-cast aluminum housing, ensuring durability and precision. Its stable hydraulic door check fluid maintains smooth operation across various climates and provides constant lubrication. Each unit comes with a regular arm, with optional hold-open and fusible link hold-open arms available. These hold-open arms are adjustable from 100° to 180° of door opening. The series also includes a high-impact molded PVC Dress Cover, allowing installation on most modern glass and aluminum doors without the need for adaptors. The CA8000 series is available in attractive baked enamel finishes: AL - Aluminum and DU - Storefront Bronze, designed to complement your décor seamlessly.
